Before: Potential buyers were having a hard time visualize how to make use of this space.

Did you know that 52% of buyers say the kitchen had the most significant impact on their purchasing decision according to Canadian Staging Professionals Research? At first I thought this number would have been higher, but some other considerations on a decision to purchase a home are location, price and condition of the home. With this in mind – that is a significant number!

It is very important to repair everything on your to-do list before listing your home. Fixing any water stains should be a high priority – you don’t want to scare your buyers. After you are certain there is no longer a leak and no other issues like mold, check out this post by Amy Hobson Evans from eHow on How to Remove Stains from Popcorn Ceilings.

Before: Although these counters were de-cluttered, they needed some lifestyle elements.

White is definitely the colour to use when staging a bathroom. It helps to create that spa-like feeling buyers desire. Although white is a great colour to use for linens, adding a touch of colour will help create interest. Some great places to add this spark of colour: in soaps, artwork or greenery.

After: By continuing the blue and greens from the master bedroom into the master bathroom a relaxing, spa-ish ambience is achieved.

Become A Leader In The Real Estate Industry

May 23, 2011 (posted by Jennifer Campbell, Home Staging Calgary)

According to The Canadian Staging Professional Research, 98% of real estate professionals agree it would be helpful to hire a professional home stager but only 20% do. Last year, I decided to do some research of my own to compare how Realtors from Calgary differ from Realtors across Canada. According to my findings in Calgary 92% agree home staging would be helpful and 25% have hired home stagers.

% Real Estate Agents Hire Home Stagers

56% of real estate agents that hire stagers do for over 75% of their listings.

So how can working with a home stager help you to become an industry leader?

  • Clients notice the added value of staging services and they will tell friends and family.
  • Other agents will be eager to show your listings, this is great way to network with other agents.
  • Selling is stressful! Buyers are looking for a home that is move in ready. We can help alleviate your client’s stress by explaining to them how to market their home properly for a quicker sale. Our Home Staging Consultations professionally handle sensitive issues such as sentimental belongings, personal taste/expression as well as the physical condition of the property.

  • Contact us – we’d love to hear about your listings and how home staging can benefit them.
