| Selected by Avenue magazine as one of the top neighbourhoods in Calgary, Sunnyside is the place I now call home. As a busy professional, Sunnyside/Kensington offers me a fabulous location to live and work. There are so many reasons I love this area. Every month I’ll share a new reason why. Sunnyside is one of Calgary’s oldest neighbourhoods. With a high walk score of 85, it’s no wonder Sunnyside is so popular. No need for a car. A ten minute walk to a very trendy downtown takes you to bars, great coffee shops, lots of in fills, boutique shopping, restaurants, pubs etc. There’s the practical stuff too. An elementary school. Grocery store, Sunnyside Market and local Hillhurst-Sunnyside Farmer’s Market. And a C-Train stop. Don’t forget the green space. Walk or cycle along the paved Bow River Pathway. Spend time at the Sunnyside Bank Park or Riley Park. To learn more about the Sunnyside, Hillhurst and Kensington areas, here are a few links:
