12 Days of Home Staging Christmas – Day 3

December 03, 2013 (posted by Jennifer Campbell, Home Staging Calgary)
On the third day of Christmas, my home stager placed for me…

Three tables from Metro Element.

See the difference home staging makes.

After: This cozy open concept living & dining room is the perfect space for entertaining or relaxing.

A round coffee table and two dark end tables help to ground the light colours used in this space I staged in Evergreen. Using a round coffee table allows easy traffic flow through the space (no stubbed toes either!). A round coffee table also adds a feminine touch to balance out a modern room. And if you want a lighter feel to the space, go with a round coffee table with a glass top.

Tune in tomorrow for the fourth day. In the meantime, contact Jen at Set Your Stage for home staging advice and services in Calgary customized to suit your needs.

12 Days of Home Staging Christmas – Day 2

On the second day of Christmas, my home stager placed for me…

Two lamps from Bouclair.

See the difference home staging makes.

After: This cozy open concept living & dining room is the perfect space for entertaining or relaxing.

In home staging, lamps can help to create height, a focal area, or simply more light in a space. In this case, the potential buyer can imagine sitting by the fire reading a book just as easily as entertaining friends. Select lamps that are fairly neutral and work with the colours in the space.

Tune in tomorrow for the third day. In the meantime, feel free to contact Jen at Set Your Stage for staging services and advice in Calgary customized to suit your needs.

12 Days of Home Staging Christmas – Day 1

December 01, 2013 (posted by Jennifer Campbell, Home Staging Calgary)
It’s that time of year again. Since I’m a professional home stager, I thought I would add my own twist to the holiday season. Over the next two weeks, I’ll share with you my 12 key ingredients for a beautifully staged home as well as some of my own home staging sources. Keep the “12 Days of Christmas” tune in mind as you read along.

On the first day of Christmas, my home stager placed for me…

A beautiful area rug.

See the difference home staging makes.

After: This space is now a great place to entertain company.

The area rug in the photo of a home I staged in Calgary was from Costco. An area rug is a great way to make a seating area feel more cozy because it grounds the space and helps bring various pieces of furniture together visually. Choose an area rug that is fairly neutral and includes other colours being used in the room to pull it all together. Take a look at our Pinterest page for more area rug examples.

Tune in tomorrow for the second day. In the meantime, I invite you to contact Jen at Set Your Stage for staging advice and services in Calgary customized to suit your needs.
