Before: Bedroom before staging.

If a bedroom is long and narrow, try putting the bed in the middle of one of the long walls. This will make the space feel more square. Altough I try to avoid reds in bedrooms, rules are meant to be broken (especially if there is only a little pop of red).

Even if a dining room allows space for lots of seating, keep chairs to a minimum for extra walking space around the table. Buyers will be able to see there is room for 6 guests even thought 4 chairs are displayed.

Before: Office before staging.

In an office, you want the space to feel comfortable and inviting. If the desk in your office doesn’t seem to flow the way you’d like – try angling it for some interest. If the room feels dark, try adding a lamp for extra lighting.

Before: Curb appeal before staging.

According to Canadian Staging Professionals’ Research, 74% of home buyers drive by before touring a home and 90% of buyers start their search online. This is why it’s important to focus on staging curb appeal, both in person and online is very important when you are selling your home. Try taking pictures at different angles and different times of day until you are happy with the results. Better yet, hire a professional photographer.

After: The containers with seasonal decorations add a welcoming touch beside the garage doors and front entry. Photos taken at dawn or dusk will look brighter and cheerier than during a sunny day.
