Staging A Bonus Room

Calgary Bonus Room Before Staging

Before: Calgary Bonus room before staging.

Glass coffee & end tables are great for staging bonus rooms. Since they are see-through, they make the space feel larger. If for any reason you can’t center the couch/loveseat with end tables, add a plant to balance the space out.

How To Find A Great Handyman (Or Handywoman)

Do you know a great handyman or handywoman?

Good, reliable trades are hard to come by. Since there is a large demand for home renovations, the good ones are busy and don’t have much time in their schedule. It’s unfortunate to say this, but I have wondered at times “Is something wrong with this company if their handyman/woman is available right now?” Fortunately, I have been proven wrong and felt the need to give hope to anyone looking for help.

The most important lesson I’ve learned is to ask for references and research! Google is the consumer’s best friend these days as if someone feels they haven’t been serviced properly – they will tell the world! Another great way to find a handyman is to ask your friends, family and co-workers. Chances are they either have hired someone or know of someone (and if you mention you were referred by someone – chances are they will be a little more flexible with helping you with your project). If they are too busy, ask them if they know of someone who could help you. Still no luck? Why not contact a Realtor or home stager? Most will have various contacts at their finger tips to help their clients out and they love to help share business. It’s good karma.

Do you have a great handyman/woman that deserves recognition? Please mention them in a comment. We always love to hear of great service!
