Living in an apartment can be frustrating from a design perspective. In most cases, you have little control over changing the color of the walls, the carpet or the appliances. Often you are not allowed to put nails in the wall to hang artwork, either. That is why I love wall decals.
 
I discovered wall decals while working at a newspaper. I was writing a story about house design. I traveled to a newly build house and found various quotes and images that looked as if they were painted on the wall. I asked about the unique wall art. My initial thought was that it may be hard to sell the house when the time comes with all that stuff painted on the walls. The art is not paint and it’s not permanent; they are wall decals.
