Staging On A Budget – Part 1

February 02, 2011 (posted by Jennifer Campbell, Home Staging Calgary)
Before Curb Appeal Makeover

Before: Front entrance before
curb appeal makeover.

You don’t necessarily need a large budget for staging your home. Staging on a budget can be achieved if you have neutral furniture, artwork, accessories and are willing to provide some elbow grease, you can transform your house into a show home.

Start off by touring your home as if you’ve never seen it before, you’ll be surprised at how much you have ignored. Is there a crack in your front step? Are your light switches covered in finger prints? Do your light bulbs need replacing? By repairing these minor glitches, you are showing your potential buyers your home is well kept. If there are major issues, like leaks in your roof or cracks in your foundation, contact us. We’d be happy to recommend a qualified handyman. Remember, if you think fixing anything is time consuming or costly, just imagine what your potential buyers are thinking.

After Curb Appeal Makeover Calgary

After: By altering the space between the roof slope and pillars (nesting birds are no longer an issue) as well as cleaning the sizing, repairing the cracks in the front step, re-seeding the lawn and painting the door, the curb appeal has improved drastically.

Need a hand seeing your home from the eyes of your potential buyers? Contact us, we offer home staging consultations for just $249.

Calgary Kitchen Before Staging

Before: Although this kitchen looks beautiful and clutter free, staging can add some life.

Did you know that 52% of home buyers polled by Procter & Gamble’s survey said the kitchen had the most significant impact on their purchasing decision?

Sometimes it’s the small things that make the most significant change. By strategically placing and removing key items in your kitchen, you can add that extra WOW factor.

Calgary Kitchen After Staging

After: By clearning the countertops and adding some colourful fruit to the countertops,
this kitchen is ready for sale.
