Staging A Bonus Room

Before: This bonus room had too many functions.

For dark rooms, it’s nice to use contrasting light furniture. Make sure your living room’s focal point is highlighted. Some examples of focal points you may use in a living room are magnificent views or architectural features (fireplace or large windows).

After: By removing the extra furniture and adding two loveseats, an area rug, greenery as well as hanging the pre-existing artwork, this room now feels like a warm and spacious retreat.

Area rugs are a great way to ground a space and add some contrast to dark furniture. Add some plants, pillows and a throw blanket to keep the room fresh and add sparks of colour.
