Adjacent Colour Schemes

April 26, 2010 (posted by Jennifer Campbell, Home Staging Calgary)
Adjacent Colour Scheme

Any 2-3 colours beside each other on the colour wheel are safe to use.

It can be quite challenging to decide on which colours will work well together. To make things easier, there are scientific colour combinations that will work together to create contrast and/or harmony.

The adjacent colour scheme is any two to three colours beside each other on the colour wheel. Always choose one hue as the dominant colour and use the others as accents. A safe adjacent colour ratio is 60-30-10.

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
